Recovery Group

Recovery Group supports individuals seeking freedom from addiction to drugs and alcohol. This group will bridge the gap between 12-step recovery programs and the local church.

Regular Serving Opportunities

These volunteer opportunities are regularly scheduled, and you will be joining other Discovery Church volunteers.

Servant's Heart Ministry (Family friendly serving opportunity!)

1st Tuesday of every month. 10am-1pm. Volunteers help sort their donations and pack their grocery boxes. Servant’s Heart delivers food weekly to help break the cycle of poverty.

Kids Beach Club

Weekly, Thursdays. 2:30-4:30pm. Volunteers assist in small group bible study. Kids Beach Club is a free after school Bible club for 3rd-5th grade students that meets one day a week.

Nathaniel's Hope/Buddy Break (Family friendly serving opportunity!)

2nd Saturday of every month. 9am-1pm. Volunteers needed to partner up with a VIP kid, walking them through all the fun stations set up. Buddy Break celebrates kids with all types of special needs.

Car Care Ministry

2nd Saturday of every month, 9:00am-12:00pm. Volunteers needed that are skilled in auto mechanics. This ministry provides basic car care maintenance and repairs for those within our church that are under-resourced.

Freeway Ministries

4th Saturday of every month, 3:30-7:30pm. Volunteers plate meals, serve dinner, and participate in their church service. Freeway Ministries goal is to bridge the gap between the recovery community, the unchurched, and the local church.

Orlando Union Rescue Mission (Family friendly serving opportunity!)

2nd Saturday of every month. 3:30-6:00pm. Volunteers needed to bring prepared food and stay and serve the food. OURM supports those experiencing homelessness in Orlando toward a path to independence.

Global Prayer Team

Weekly, Wednesdays. 7:30-8:15am. Virtual prayer team gathers to pray for our global partners.

Prayer Walk

One Saturday a month, 9:00am-11:00am. We walk the community near the Sand Lake campus, pray with the people we encounter and share the gospel with everyone we can.
